We do adoptions any day by appointment or at
adoption events at the Petco in Owings Mills. Our adoption
process requires an application, contract and adoption fee.
All of our cats are either in foster homes or at
our Adoption Center at the Petco in Owings Mills (10383 Reisterstown Road).
* You do not need to have a particular cat in mind
to put in an
application!
Unfortunately, we do not have a shelter where you can come meet all the cats at once, but if you are
interested in adopting a cat from us, please
complete our application and we will
put you in touch with that cat's foster family so you can meet/adopt him or
set up a time for a volunteer to meet you at Petco as necessary.
Many but not all of our cats also attend our adoption events held at the Petco in Owings Mills most Saturdays between 11 and 4 (event calendar below).
Planning to attend one of our
adoption events?
We also do adoptions by appointment.
Not all of our cats attend each adoption event.
All of our cats are spayed or
neutered at the time of adoption, tested for Feline Leukemia, have
received standard vaccinations, have been treated for parasites and are microchipped.
We offer a
free health plan through
ShelterCare to adopters providing a valid email address. For more
information on your cat's healthcare, please click
here.
Adoption fees are payable
by cash, check or credit card. We also accept Paypal
Cats and kittens over 6 months of
age: $90, $150 for a pair
Kittens under 6 months of age: $125,
$210 for a pair
These fees help us cover the cost of preparing
the cats for adoption. They do not usually cover the entire cost, so
please consider making an additional donation if you are able. We help
many more cats than we are able to adopt into homes.
Note about Kittens: We strongly
recommend that kittens be adopted in pairs or into homes with other cats.
This is not only for the mental and emotional health of the kitten, but is
also in the interests of the adopter. While we will not reject an
application for a single kitten simply because there are no other cats in
the house, priority will be given to double adoptions and adoptions to homes
with other cats.
