Mac is like sunshine on a rainy day!   He is soo sweet, such good company and just a really special guy. He will shower you with kisses, talk to you about your day and follow wherever you go.  He’s a big , 2 - 3 year old brown and white tabby with gorgeous teal green eyes and a mustache.   Mac and Cheese was a neighborhood cat that had an outdoor shelter and a caregiver.  He was most likely abandoned by a previous owner because he’s just darn so sociable.   He came to FRA after his neighborhood caregiver found him doused in gasoline! The poor guy spent  several painful days in the hospital suffering from chemical burns to his body, face and eyes. (And you gotta see those eyes)!  He had to keep blinding ointment in them for weeks and his soft fur eventually fell out (it’s grown back), but he was a trooper and has fully recovered.   Mac is also FIV positive.  What does that mean? Well, FIV is a common virus among outdoor cats.  He will live a normal life like most cats, he won’t require any medications and  he can’t pass it along to humans. FIV is passed to other cats through deep bite wounds so Mac should be an only kitty or be with other cats that get along. He currently lives with several other rescue cats and they all get along just fine. Please don’t let this diagnosis keep you from considering Mac and Cheese.   He has experienced a lot of bad things in his short life but manages to see the good.  Won’t you consider giving Mac and Cheese the good life?
