About Winston & Tupelo

  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes

Winston (ginger and white) and Tupelo (black and white) are (foster) brothers who are looking for a sunny bed next to a window, a warm laptop to sleep on in the evenings, and, for Winston to be the star of your video meetings.

Winston was trapped as part of the usual TnR program but, on his way back to the rescue, chatted to the transporter all the way.  This isn’t normal for a feral kitty, so she took a chance and let him settle down in a quiet room for a few hours.  This ended off being the best decision ever for the handsome Winston who is a TOTAL lap kitty / love bug / turn over and over in your arms to get all of the love kitty.  After settling in at his foster home, he has his preferred beds and cat tree which he uses for napping and scratching, but his favorite is a warm office chair, preferably seconds after you’ve left it, or even while you are still in it, as long as there is room for him at the back.  He is happy to be held, all paws up in the air, as you talk the team through your points, listening intently and insisting on head rubs.  He has the most adorable deep golden eyes and white miss-matched socks on his ginger tabby frame.  He is about 4 months old and has some growing to do.  He loves his dinners and estimates are that he is going to be occupying that whole office chair by his first birthday.

Tupelo is about 3 months old and is a smaller guy than Winston, preferring to leave the lap time to the big-guy but will come and sit with you and certainly enjoys snuggling with his big brother.  This guy was picked up on a used car lot and is happy to leave his apprenticeship as a mechanic behind (lack of thumbs and, yeah, being a cat) and instead focus on putting all of the available kitty toys under the closet door.

These two love to hang out together and are becoming more and more settled in their foster home after a rough start in life.  They love their chasers and playing with the toys Tupelo hasn’t already put into the closet.  Winston loves EVERYONE and quickly warmed up to another foster kitten in the house, while Tupelo was slower to play, but is becoming braver by the day.  With proper introductions, they should make friends with any resident cats, but would be very happy together.

Kittens who are adopted in pairs have a lifelong partner in crime, entertaining themselves while you are away and tend to be much more outgoing and confident than single adopted kittens. If you do have a resident cat, these two will enjoy quiet times with them, while being the energy-filled kittens wrestling and playing together without harassing the older, wiser cat (or you!).   Winston and Tupelo are fixed, vaccinated, disease tested and microchipped and will come with all medical records.  Adopting Winston in time for him to establish himself as a fixture on your weekly team meeting before your end of year performance review may even result in a pay rise next year!*

*this is a total fabrication but, hey, adopting a homeless pet does show character, planning, the ability to complete paperwork correctly and who is going to be paying attention to your typos on that slide when this handsome guy is on screen? Not YOUR manager!
